Just for the Love of Music!
“The Conservatory” features a Rock Band Music Workshop during the week of the annual public school March Break.  Introduction to Rock Music Performance is a course which is designed to give students the opportunity to play in a band.  Students in this programme will be able to refine their playing and develop their performance skills within a band environment.  Concepts of pitch, time, melody & rhythm will be examined and put into practice from a band’s perspective.

Some musical knowledge and prior music lesson experience is required to join in on the Workshop which is designed to help young musicians experience the dynamics of playing within a musical group, and to experience what its like to be on stage in a concert setting!

A Week End Concert will be held on the first Sunday afternoon, following the end of the Rock Band Music Camp.  Graduating students will participate in a live, onstage concert, held in a popular local Family Restaurant, to showcase their talents in front of an audience of family & friends while they dine on their choice of the restaurant’s lunchtime menu.

“Thanks for putting up with me these past few years.  I’m such a lazy student sometimes, I know – but thanks for continuing to teach me & not giving up on my playing.  Thanks for giving me so many opportunities – you rock!”  Cherie

“Thank you for the wonderful years I've had with you.  I had lots of fun and good times and good learning.  I've learned so much in so little time.  Thank you for teaching me because I really enjoyed it.” Mike P.

No musical knowledge or prior experience is required to join in on this "hands-on" and interactive Music Camp, which is designed to create excitement and desire among budding young musicians between the ages 6 and 12.  Of special interest is our Hand-Drumming Circle which will provide every child with an exciting understanding of rhythm and tempo.
